Ensworth School

Ensworth School, founded in 1958, remains one of Nashville’s most well-known and respected institutions. Ensworth reached out in the fall of 2022 to create a new admissions piece - something that would intrigue prospective families, excite alumni, and energize the existing Ensworth community.

We worked closely with leadership to create something that was truly representative of who they were. After dozens of hours at the white board, ten filming days boasting six camera operators, and countless hours at the edit, we felt we delivered something that was distinct and uniquely Ensworth.

Admissions

Prior to our work with Ensworth on their new admissions piece, we had the pleasure of producing a fundraising piece that created a scholarship named in their outgoing head-of-school’s name. This piece mixes cinematics as well as on-camera commentary by school staff and faculty.

Change in Leadership

University School of Nashville

USN, located near downtown Nashville, was born out of Peabody College at Vanderbilt University as a demonstration school. The school has a taproot deep in Nashville’s history as it relates to civil rights, social opportunity, and higher learning. In the summer of 2022, Vince Durnan, after over twenty years of service, stepped down as USN’s Director.

After a long search, the school found and installed Amani Reed from the School at Columbia University as the new Director and the first person of color to lead the institution. Eleven pieces of content were produced and rolled out over the transition in order to introduce Amani to the community.

Head to Head

This series was crucial in passing the mantle from Vince Durnan to Amani Reed. The community needed to know that both of these accomplished individuals had USN’s well-being at heart.

Eight of these pieces were produced and pushed out in sequence. Topics ranged from personal leadership styles to the history and direction of the school.

Amani Reed
in Profile

The entire summer of 2022 was an opportunity for USN to introduce Amani to the community. This was a more intimate look into the man, his approach, and his family.

A little fun…

Chris Chamberlain, a USN alum and prominent food & travel writer in Nashville, took Amani on a tour of Nashville; complete with hot chicken, pinewood social, and the Sounds stadium.

In the round…

Another crucial aspect of Amani’s arrival was getting to know the students and the students getting to know him. These approaches are always an interesting challenge; but can capture wonderful moments of interaction.

Harding Academy

Harding Academy is a K8 school focused on a holistic and adaptive approach to education. This gem, tucked away in Nashville’s Belle Meade neighborhood, has a small-school feel with relationships larger than its walls can contain. Harding’s 50th anniversary landed squarely in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, but as they were in the midst of a building campaign, they wanted to mark the moment nevertheless.

We worked with Harding to produce a long-form piece that captured the story of the school; not only historically, but in essence as well. While there have been things that have changed at Harding over those fifty years, their dedication to the mission of the school and its founders has remained steadfast.

Julia Green Elementary

While Julia Green Elementary is a Metro Nashville Public School, it relies heavily on a robust Parent Teacher Organization that engages in pivotal work on behalf of the school. This piece was produced to encourage engagement and giving among the JGE community.

50th Anniversary

Often times, the best way to make the most of an investment in branded content is to use it in as many ways as possible. Because we’re often on location multiple days per project filming any number of subjects and interviewees, it only makes sense to make use of as much of the content as we can in the edit.

Here, in addition to this shorter piece more geared for social media, we also created a vignette that targeted solely the topic of the building campaign. These pieces can then be pushed out to the community in any number of ways.

K8 Focused

Later, Harding wanted something that communicated to prospective parents their ability to focus on childhood development between the ages of 4 and 14. This remains their greatest appeal, as they are the only coed, K-8 school in the surrounding area.

For us, that meant capturing the fun, growth, and discovery of those formative years across the grades.
